The early bird catches the worm but the second mouse gets the cheese
Well I never, Poochie has had a makeover. I guess he got fed up with the scruffy look and decided to change his image or maybe its because he has a new friend. I think that's the reason because he often dissapears for hours on end and always comes back with a smile on his face. I guess he is trying to impress her
Well here's another visitor he arrived a couple of days after i pulled a thorn from his foot in Gnarly Woods. We became the best of friends. I call him Mumbo because his real name is unpronouncable as he originally comes from India. All the village children love him and come to the Dairy just to ride on his back which he really enjoys doing. Sometimes he sprays them with water from his trunk which sends them running and screaming with glee
(formerly The Mousehole)
See my new Home?. Farmer Ted converted it for me from an old discarded dolls house that he found lying around. Its big enough for all the family and very comfortable. Much better than the hole in the cowshed I was living in before
Who's this eating all the Dangleberries?. Why its Butchie and he doesn't seem to mind what he eats as long as its tasty. Everyday he walks around looking to see which are the ripest fruits growing in the hedgrows surrounding the dairy and after filling himself up goes off and has a snooze until the next mealtime. I guess he's just catching up on lost sleep because he was really in a bad way when he arrived here
Meet Dennis, Ted found him collapsed and in a very poor state on Knobbly Hill and brought him back here. It seems he was maltreated at the seaside, beaten and underfed so he decided to escape and has been "on the road" for weeks. He said if it weren't for Ted he would be dead by now. He's slowly getting back in shape with an excercise regime. It seems he too has got the health bug so i guess its time for me to buck my ideas up as well
Harvey escaped from a circus he was fed up with going around in circles and having people do somersaults and other things on his back just to keep the crowd happy. Now he spends the day trotting round and visiting all the animals just to chat and cheer them up if they are feeling low. in the evenings we all gather round and listen to the stories he tells about life in the circus and then its time for bed and we go away thinking how lucky we are to have found this place
This is me having some lunch thinking about what to do next

This is the first of the new herd of buffalo that Ted is purchasing, he mentioned something about a new kind of cheese that he is going to try and make he won't tell us anymore about it because he's a bit nervous of this new venture. It seems that the rest of them are arriving soon from Europe. We have named her Agnes because thats what it sounded like when we asked her what her name was. She doesn't speak English yet and none of us know any buffalo words but she is very friendly

This strange looking fellow is Colin and he used to live in a desert before he was captured and ended up in a zoo. He said "They told me it was for my own good. Something about being an endangered species. I dont believe a word of it I just think they made it up to pacify me because i had the right hump when i arrived there, well anyone would after being taken from their home without good reason. I'd heard of this place and decided I would escape so here i am" Well he's most welcome and has fitted in very nicely
Another refugee. It seems the word is getting around amongst the unhappy animals all around the country."They locked me in a cage and said i was wild, well who wouldn't be. I like my freedom and have never hurt anyone although i was tempted once or twice when the keepers came to clean out my cage. I know i'm going to like it here with all the different animals there are and very friendly too. I hope you'll have me".Pete says. Of course we will and a lot we can learn from you. Nice to have you here
Rocco makes furniture from all kinds of scrap that he finds and he's checking out this barrel to see if he can use it in a new project or maybe he needs a new overcoat who knows. Anyway he's very talented and a pleasure to watch.
