My new transport, isn't it posh. Now i can get to all the new areas on the dairy without having to rely on other animals to give me a lift. I really appreciate this as it makes me more independant. It's made from a discarded toy of Bevans (it was broken and he didnt want it anymore) so Ted repaired it and found a way to run it off of rechargable batteries. It lasts for hours and Ted has made sure there are places dotted around where i can plug it in and recharge it so i can always get home. The wife likes it too and every sunday morning you can see us riding around the dairy like a couple of "Toffs"
Lucy here is another runaway from an animal park and she loves being here. She is very friendly and has volunteered to carry things around the dairy for Ted. "its something i used to do where i come from and i dont mind helping out in anyway i can it reminds me of my home in South America. I know i'm never going to see that again but now i'm quite happy to live my life out here and am really happy" she told me. I know Ted is really grateful for her help and has bought in some special feed for her plus she gets to have first choice of the test batches of his new cheese .
Bessie used to be a Police dog but got too old to be able to keep up with the younger dogs "so they pensioned me off" she explained." I used to stay with someone but all they wanted me to do was fetch sticks and balls but i wasn't having any of that nonsense not after years of sniffing out criminals and finding missing children so i thought i'd come here and make myself useful". well so far there hasn't been much for her to do but the visiting children go off and hide and she sniffs them out. "At least it helps me keep my nose in trim and the kids love it when i find them".
This creepy little fellow sneaked in on a delivery lorry one day. It seems that he has been hitching rides all over Europe jumping on to goods and hiding in them before they are loaded then jumping of when they reach their destination. "There was one time i really felt sick the lorry was bobbing and swaying for a couple of hours and after a couple more hours i was here" he told me so i said it must have been while he was crossing the sea  Sid has settled in well and has made friends with eveyone including the local spiders who think he looks exotic and i must admit he is colourful
Prudence wandered in to the Dairy one day saying "I'm here at last it's taken weeks to find this place and i have had to dodge the keepers that have been trying to capture me since i escaped" At first she was very shy but after a good meal and a drink she settled down and found a place to have a rest under a tree that seemed to remind her of her home. Everyday she takes a wander round the Dairy exploring and talking to all the animals and has made friends with Butchie who has at last found a soulmate. Teds orderd some bamboo shoots which are her favourite food
Gertrude and family flew in from somewhere south and have settled in quickly. "I think this is the kind of place we can stay the whole year round" she says. Well I certainly hope they do because they bring a bit more cheer to the place not that its not cheery but they bring that "something special" to the place and the extra eggs will add to our diets. Everyday they fly in from Limpid Lake and join in with any activities going on and really enjoy it.
Sammy doesnt really stink in fact he smells quite nice. "I only squirt the smelly stuff at things that frighten or want to harm me" he says. Just ask the farm cat who thought it would be fun to creep up behind him and make him jump. For the last two weeks she has been trying to get rid of the awful smell and nobody will go near her she wont be doing that again in a hurry even the cattle disappear when they smell her coming. All the other animal now know not to mess about with him or they will suffer the same fate
Perry used to live in a very cold place before he escaped from a Zoo. "I never really liked the cold much I love to lay about in the sun and get nice and warm. I also like it when it rains because its so refreshing, better than jumping in an icy ocean and i go to the lake regularly to have a swim and get myself clean" he say's. At the moment he is doing something he calls "Big Scratchin' " 'cos he says "There arn't any trees in the North Pole and this was how i dealt with the itching and its nicer to do it on grass instead of ice".
This fellows name is Heathcliff and he hates it so he has decided from now on he wants to be known as "Prickles" . He has not long woken up from his winter sleep and is still groggy "It always takes me a few days to fully wake and then i'll be my usual cheeky self" he said. Well iI for one cant wait for him to join in the fun we have around here and i have warned him not to frighten Sammy. "I will roll myself into a ball and then you can all have a bit of fun playing football with me but woe betide anyone that kicks me too hard as they will find themselves full of  spines" he warns.
